Basketball Update
By: Chad Wright - February 28, 2016
The boys basketball team ended their regular season this Friday as they played Van Buren. Although the Tigers didn't get the outcome they would have liked, they still had a pretty good season.
Junior, Eli Smith, said, “ I think varsity played okay. We just couldn't finish very well”. With tournaments starting this week, the Tigers got a first round bye, and play the winner of Tiffin Calvert and Arcadia. The next game will be on Friday the 26th at Riverdale; it will be the second game of the night starting at 8pm. Hope to see everyone there!
The girls’ basketball team was cut short; this week as they lost in tournament play to Delphos St. John. This season was a fantastic one for the Lady Tigers, ending the season 21-3. The Lady Tigers head coach Adam Burris was named coach of the year; I guess you can say this was a very good year for the Lady Tigers! With only one starter graduating this year the Lady Tigers should be looking at a good season next year too. Stay tuned for more Tiger sports updates!

It's pretty cool to have some close friends on the team, we are a family.” These games will both be away this week. Make sure you come and show support!
The girls basketball is off to a really good start this season; they are undefeated so far, going 4-0. Basketball season is here. This season should be a good one for both boys and girls basketball. With the boys having eighteen total players this year and the girls having around twenty. The head coach of the boys, John Kloepfer, and the girls’ head coach, Adam Burris, say it should be a good season for basketball. With each team having one scrimmage under their belts already, they can learn and fix their mistakes and get better.
